Product Review: Nylon Collar and Leash by Hamilton Products

Most dog owners have to walk their best friends several times a day, making the leash and collar some of the most important items a pup can have. That's why Petside decided to take a closer look at Hamilton Products' new Adjustable Nylon Collars and Leashes. We hitched up two of our staff's pooches (Junior, the American Staffordshire Terrier and Astra, the Lab Mutt) and took them for a walk around the block to weigh the pros and cons of these products.

Good news first! Hamilton's collars and leashes are made of exceptional material. The nylon is sturdy and flexible, yet also comfortable around the dog's neck. An additional perk is that the fabric comes in a variety of shiny, aesthetically-pleasing colors. So if you want a specific shade to match your pup's coat, you are likely to find what you're looking for. The length of the leash is also a positive. Our dogs' owners found it not too long and not too short - perfect for complete control.

However, we also think there are a few upgrades that, if added, would significantly improve Hamilton's dog devices. Although the rugged material and reinforced metal holes of the leash feel like they would last a long time, a "quick-release" buckle may be a safer choice for dogs who tend to twist and pull. Another simple addition: the necessary poop-bag holder! We suggest adding a hook for the clean-up accessory for added convenience.

To summarize, our dogs, Junior and Astra, seem to like the comfort of Hamilton's collars and the freedom in length of their leashes. However, Petside thinks that a few alterations should be made for the humans' benefit-such as the handy dandy poop-bag holder as well as a possible buckle option. Overall though, Hamilton's leashes and collars are notable and worthy contenders in the dog products market.
