Ryan Karpusiewicz is the Assistant Editor, Lifestyle, for Digital Works @ NBC U, whose main responsibility is helping edit and maintain Petside.com.

He currently resides in a suburb in upstate New York, and is an avid lover of pets and animals. His mother, a veterinary technician with Flannery Animal Hospital in Newburgh, NY, is the proud owner of (currently--because this is apt to change at any moment) four cats (Pumpkin, Porthos, Athos, and Aramis) and three dogs (a pair of male and female Golden Retrievers aptly named Shamrock and Shenanigans and an unidentifiable and lovable mutt named Bean).

Aside from writing about pets, Ryan also has interests in television and writing about sports.

In this vein, Ryan has contributed to a number of publications outside of Petside.com through job opportunities, internships, and independent ventures, including Scholastic Parent & Child magazine, lifestyle websites Life Goes Strong, Momtourage, and Dinner Tool, and sports-based news site Mets101.com.
