Maria Wakem

Maria Wakem is a Bay Area-based writer and editor. Her work has appeared in Spa, Men's Fitness, and Cosmopolitan Philippines, among others. She is Co-Director of the Asia Spa Project, the first in a series of independent projects created to document and promote holistic healing techniques worldwide. A yoga and reiki practitioner, Maria spends most of her spare time seeking calm amid a life of deadlines. She lives with her husband, photographer Matthew Wakem, and their two very spoiled cats, Hurley and Sophia.
