Bentley, a Great Dane, is one big therapy dog. Read what he is contention for below!
A therapy dog, a Great Dane, is making waves in a big way. That's because Bentley, the pooch in question, is in the running to earn a Guinness World Record as the World's Tallest Dog! Did we mention that the pooch already has another Guinness Record for having the longest tail for a dog at over 26 inches?
Thanks to his generous profession, he'll seek to add yet another world record; Bentley is striving to be known as the world's largest service dog. Although he's only three years old, Bentley is a far cry from a puppy. When standing on his hind legs, he's nearly seven feet tall! He also tips the scales at a massive 190 pounds. This dog's size alone can be quite intimidating at a quick glance.
Those that have had the pleasure to be in Bentley's company, though, find him anything but intimidating. Rather, the Great Dane possesses a soft demeanor that provides comfort to those he interacts with. Though hey may stand tall, Bentley's greatest attribute is his calm personality, which has helped many patients throughout the course of his therapeutic duties. Truly, Bentley is redefining what it means to be a gentle giant.
Bentley is currently on a tour to help raise money for cancer research, and is visiting hospitals throughout the west.
