Work the Pose

Both of my dogs know that the easiest way to get my attention is to assume their "look at me, I'm really cute" pose. Some dogs will paw to get attention, some will bark, but my guys know that all they have to do is roll on to their back and I'll come running. They've figured out that I don't always notice the position right away if I'm engrossed in something, so after a few seconds of posing they add funny breathing noises to make sure I acknowledge the cuteness. On this day I was giving Sumner a bunch of love and Zeke wasn't having it ... he strolled over to where we were sitting, plopped down right next to us and assumed the position: He added some rolling as well: Of course I succumbed and Zeke got a big belly rub:
