Why are my dog's ears cold?

Q: My dog's ears are always cold. Are my dogs cold ears a sign of poor circulation?

A: Your dog's ears being cold is probably not a sign of poor circulation, but that is a good thought! Are other extremities cold too? If your dog had a circulation problem you would see other signs as well. My dog is a mixed breed and her ears get cold too!

my beagle basset hound, Annie. She gets cold ears. But she sure is a a pumpkin! Her ears are colder in the winter. I think she gets warmer by snuggling in bed.

I have a beagle, and on very cold days his ears are cold otherwise he is fine, so it is just for him at least. that it is a cold day.
