What Shots Are Needed for Indoor Cats?

A: First I would recommend checking your local town laws on rabies vaccines. Many towns require that all animals have a rabies vaccine by law. I personally recommend that any cat that goes outside should have a distemper vaccine. That is a viral disease that can be in your yard especially if strays wander there. Your veterinarian can give you more information on these vaccines and can advise you further as to whether or not they are needed yearly.
