What Cats Dream About

Published March 11, 2011
Would somebody please clue me in about where the time goes these days? It seems like last Friday was just a few days ago and here I am once again sitting at my computer searching for a clever and entertaining video for my "dress down" Friday blog item. I have to tell you that after viewing what felt to me like an endless procession of rather mediocre productions, I was ready to throw up my hands in frustration, and give up my quest to find one that folks would find enjoyable. So off I went to visit The Cat Diaries site to see what new adventures Cory might be sharing about his two beloved kitties, Sparta and Loki. I was delighted to find one that so creatively illustrated what cats may consider to be an essential part of a truly stimulating feline environment. Talks about spoiled kitties, these two pampered pets have it "made in the shade." Cory spends an inordinate amount of time finding ways to keep his cats amused! And while some folks may consider some of his videos "way out," in the kitty department, they always demonstrate his deep and abiding love for Sparta and Loki, both adopted from a shelter. They both were so fortunate that Cory found them. But I suspect that these fabulous felines that have a huge following, feel equally blessed to be loved by such an inventive photographer. So enjoy this short video uploaded to YouTube by Thecatdiaries, which cleverly demonstrates what cats may dream about and desire. After all . . . what kitty is his or her right mind wouldn't be thrilled to play on the cat tree featured in this video? What do you think? Leave a comment and let us know. Wow- truly any kitty's dream come true!

Well this kitty must dream of nothing but having fun. After all, no bills to pay, no dinner to cook, no house to clean, no laundry to do. What a life!

I love these videos. Sparta and Loki have grown up to become beautiful cats. I have to say that our cat, Sabu, dreams of the one that got away. He caught a mouse in the outdoor enclosure and killed it. He brought it into the house to show momma and in doing so lost it to his evil sister, Willow. She would not give it back and we had a terrible time getting it away from her. Finally we rescued it's poor dead body and disposed of it properly. I think he dreams of the thrill of the catch and the agony of the theft.

It looks like there are about six different cat towers there, all grouped together, plus scratching pads, etc. Love the spotlight above them! Loki and Sparta are gorgeous, and yes, r, I'd love to find Cory's darker bro and make him our main man!
