Q: What are some common stroke symptoms in dogs?
A: While strokes can occur in dogs and cats it is far less common than in humans. Strokes can be definitively diagnosed with advanced imaging in veterinary referral centers. Before this type of imaging is done, your pet should be examined by a veterinarian. Simple blood tests and x-rays may identify another problem that is causing this to happen to your pet.

My labradoodle has been experiencing the same thing since about 2 years old. He is now 6. I studied seizures on the net forever and finally enlisted in a naturopathic vet I found online. After a long interview and then a phone call, we changed his diet, added some vegetables, fed more often and have drastically reduced the seizures. We still have them, every 6-9 months or so but not at all as severe as before. I took him to the vet in the beginning and all they wanted to tell me was to put him on phenobarbital, which I am 100% not interested in. Consider what you feed your dog and environmental stresses on their system. My contact with the natural vet was $50 and it saved my dog!
