Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show = Wendy Toth
The Dalmatian was one of the four group winners christened at the first night of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
On the first night of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, breed winners competed against each other in four groups, vying for the chance to go on and win Westminster's ultimate prize, Best in Show. On this night, the groups that were competing were the Hound Group, the Toy Group, the Non-Sporting Group, and the Herding Group.
The crowd cheered as the contest's multiple entrants graced the iconic green carpet at Madison Square Garden, but only one breed from each group could go on and advance for the chance to win Best in Show. As of the conclusion of the first day at Westminster, here are the group winners vying for the show's ultimate prize:
Hound Group
Dachshund (Wirehaired): GCH Raydachs Playing With Fire V Gleishorbach SW
Toy Group
Pekingese: Ch Palacegarden Malachy
Non-Sporting Group
Dalmatian: GCH Spotlights Ruffian
Herding Group
