Viszla Puppies
Published June 30, 2008
My friend Jim Arnold is a professional animal photographer. I am always delighted when he sends me photographs as they always capture the true essence of his subjects.
These two fetching Vizsla 6 month-old puppies arrived in my email the other day. The one with the water bottle who has that "it's mine" expression in her eyes is a little girl. Chasing her, trying to capture what he thinks should be his prize is a boy. That male loves water bottles. Any water bottle is fair game. He will try to grab any bottle in his reach, even if it is too full and too close to a table edge.
Both of these puppies are farm dogs so happily they have loads of room to romp and play. Interestingly however, they much prefer the company of humans and want to hang out with them.
Viszlas are very affectionate dogs. Nevertheless, I have to warn you that unless your heart’s desire is to be covered with puppy kisses, don't get your face too close to theirs. They will lick you silly as they enjoy showering you with their canine brand of devotion.
Jim says that he while he is engaged in taking photographs he has to toss these two a water bottle so he can get his work done. Jim is an equine and pet photographer who lives in Mesquite, Texas. Most of his work involves horses, but he enjoys shooting any action photographs, which includes all animals.
Jim has been documenting these pups since they were very small. I am happy to announce that one will be included in the upcoming "Ultimate Dog Book."
If this photograph of these two adorable pups has whetted your appetite, you can follow their fun on his blog. Visit him at http://jim-arnold.blogspot.com. You will also be able to check out his other work through the links you will find there.
I personally think that a savvy bottled water company should jump at the chance to feature these Viszlas in their advertising. I think they make great ambassadors, don't you agree?
