Take a live peek into the training process for assistance dogs!
Ever wonder how a pooch becomes an assistance dog? We know these valuable animals undergo rigorous training, but for the most part what exactly that training entails remains a mystery. Thanks to a new initiative from Eukanuba and Canine Companions for Independence, an organization dedicated to training and providing assistance dogs to those in need, the mystery behind the training of assistance dogs will be revealed, and we'll all have a chance to see the process happen live!
With the new and innovative program, Eukanuba is providing a live stream via their Facebook page (and right here on Petside!) that will give folks an in-depth look at the assistance dog training process. Adorable and lovable pups of eight weeks old will transform into canine helpers right before your eyes!
While checking out the pups live will provide a cute diversion for those in need of one, the best part of the new initiative is that watching these adorable dogs will aid a worthy cause; Eukanuba is helping fundraise for Canine Companions to train more dogs and in turn help more people out. For every new "like" on their Faceobok page, Eukanuba will donate $1 to the organization. Additionally, people can visit their Facebook page and livestream every day, and simply watching and clicking "Donate" (with no money leaving your pockets) will ensure that Eukanuba donates another dollar to Canine Companions.
