Wondering how the White House decorates for the holidays? We'll give you a hint: they definitely include their little fur friend, Bo Obama!
In an event yesterday, Michelle Obama opened the White House to military families for a sneak peek at this year's holiday decorations, with the holiday theme for this year being "Shine, Share, Give." The theme echoes the importance of celebrating the ways we can lift those around us, the importance of spending time with friends and family (including pets!), and the joys of giving and sharing our blessings.
For the Obamas, one blessing in their family is their famed pooch, President Obama's Portuguese Water Dog, Bo Obama. And the love the Obamas have for Bo shows in the holiday decorations that are strewn throughout America's most famous home!
Representations of little Bo can be found in nearly every room of the White House. His figure is the basis for decorations ranging from small ornaments to life-sized topiaries, crafted from many different materials ranging from felt to buttons!
The White House is clearly embracing the holiday spirit, and as such has shared a video with Petside showing a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of one of these Bo Obama decorations.
