Unusual Special Friends (Cat & Iguana!)

Sobe the lizard and Johann the cat have a lot in common. They were both rescued by Rina Deych of Brooklyn, New York, and struck up a very special friendship. Sobe & Johann But the iguana enjoys spending time with several of Rina’s animal friends, including Monte (another cat buddy) and Buster the bunny. Sobe & Monte Sharing a Snack Rina says that after his morning nap under heat lamps, Sobe is ready for his social life. “He clambers down the tree branch and makes the rounds, visiting every animal resident in the house: dog, twelve cats, and two parrots! Sometimes he naps with one or another of the cats; occasionally Cato the parrot perches on Sobe's long tail, grooming him.” Buster the Bunny & Sobe When she found the emaciated kitten and the vet recommended euthanization, Rina had a feeling Johann (named for Bach) needed one more chance. Once the kitten began to recover, she introduced him to the iguana, and Sobe immediately puffed himself up to defend his territory. But the kitten tried to snuggle up to the lizard, and Sobe soon calmed down. “Supremely loyal, this David-and-Jonathan pair hang out together, nuzzle one another, and sleep cuddled together.” Do you have pets that have formed unlikely friendships?
