Thongs for Dogs? Yes, it's true.

Published February 12, 2010

As we walked through the pet product fair at the Pennsylvania Hotel in New York City today (the official hotel of the Westminster dog show), a new product caught our eye.

After the Snuggie for dogs, we thought we had seen it all in the world of doggie fashion. That was of course until we stumbled upon the under garment section.

The newest invention in dog couture? Thongs. And they aren't just being used to get rid of panty lines.

Pants for Dogs (www.pantsfordogs.com), a company offering unique problem solvers to help owners control dog urination and prevent household accidents, is the first to create Thongs for Dogs.

The thongs are available in two styles, regular and bikini, and come in a variety colors from sizzling pink to peel me a grape purple.

These thongs are more than just a fashion statement; they are a solution to the issue of pet accidents. Dog owners simply insert a human adult incontinence pad or sanitary napkin in the thong and then replace the pad when it is soiled.

Whether you are in market for a pet product to help with doggie accidents or you just want to sexy up your dog, make sure you check out Thongs for Dogs.

And since you can't buy your dog a box of chocolates this Valentine's Day, why not go with the other cliche gift, sexy lingerie? Just watch out for all the attention your dog and you will be getting.
