Soporific Cats

I don't know about all you cat lovers out there in cyberspace, but sometime, if I am having difficulty falling asleep, one of the most effective sleeping aids for me, is to carefully pull the covers down and gaze steadily upon my two sleeping kitties. As I watch their gentle breathing, their sides moving up and down in a hypnotic motion, I often find my eyelids getting heavy and I am soon aware that the great Greek god of sleep, Morpheus has come to pay me a visit. Another sure fire method for me to enter dreamland with greater ease, especially on a cold winter's night, is to invite our two Oriental Short Hair cats to find a warm spot under the covers. Their warmth soothes my aching muscles, and if they happen to be purring as they slowly fall to sleep, their gentle vibrations rival any massage therapy I have experienced. My friends often worry about how sleep eludes me, and I certainly appreciate their reaching out to help me. I was delighted with an email I received this morning, which features a wide variety of interesting and humorous feline sleep positions. My friend is, for sure, a creative and thoughtful woman to add this to my wide assortment of feline-related websites that I will store for future use.
