Q: Kitten has Nose Bleed

Q: My 5 1/2 week old kitten appears to have a nose bleed. Is this normal or should I take her to a vet?

A: It is definitely not normal for your kittens nose to bleed.  It is definitely a good idea to have your pet examined by your veterinarian.  It is possible that your kitten has an upper respiratory infection which has caused irritation and inflammation in the area.  If this is the case, your vet may wish to prescribe something.
