Q: How long is a cat pregnancy?

Q: How long do cats stay pregnant? How many kittens are normal?

A: Female cats carry their kittens for a little over two months (average 65 days). There is a broad range as to how many kittens a pregnant female may carry. She may have anywhere from one to eight kittens with two to five kittens being the average. Ultrasound can be used to detect feline pregnancy as early as 11 days after breeding.

Can someone let me know "How long is it after birth before kittens start to nurse?". Our cat had 4 kittens last night (her 1st litter). She doesn't seem to be producing milk yet, is that normal? It seems she'd be happy just staying out here with us rather than in with her kittens. Should be be concerned? The kittens aren't crying. Do we need to get to a vet or bottle feed them?
