Are You Walking Your Yorkie like a Great Dane? Huffington Post
Wendy Diamond reminds us that not all walks are equal and different breeds have different needs. We especially love her tips because we unearthed an awesome pet pedometer this week. It lets you tally up how many steps your pet takes per day so you can select a target with your vet.
If you like that, you'll like our next (self-promotional) must-read.
Fitness Gear for You and Your Dog: Petside, of course.
We found corresponding products - one for you and one for your dog - to help make your walks more fun, comfortable and productive. Our fave: The "Labs with Abs" water bottle.
Thundershirt to the Rescue! A.G. Out Loud
One of our wonderful Facebook fans asked if the Thundershirt was a good investment for a storm-phobic pup (if you have a dog with thunderstorm troubles, check out 5 Ways to Help Your Dog Through a Thunderstorm too). We love Anne Good's review because it's thorough, honest, and will help anyone thinking of trying the shirt to make the best decision possible.
Hilariously Preppy Dog Clothes: Refinery29
I look to Refinery29 for style inspiration all the time, but I was bowled over by the originality and laugh-out-loud cuteness of the dog clothes they featured this week from Etsy seller AnneMarie Minardi, pictured.
Adoptable Pet of the Week: Dolly
My good family friends just had a wonderful experience adopting a stray 1-year-old mixed-breed from Main Line Animal Rescue in Pennsylvania. After hearing about the large, clean indoor/ outdoor space and the care taken by the staff to match each pet with the right family, I had to check out their pets. My pick for this week is one of the many adorable dogs they have at Main Line: Dolly the Miniature Pinscher - so sweet!
