While looking on Etsy, we stumbled upon an upcycled Apple Computer that was converted from being potentially wasteful into a nice, cozy, pet bed! They have a photo of a cat that looks quite comfortable in it, and we can picture our own pets enjoying it just as much! It’s definitely unique and worth a look on this fine Friday!
Best Super Bowl Ads Featuring Animals: Petside
Earlier in the week, the Super Bowl matchup was decided. With that in mind, we figured it’d be a nice idea to find 10 of the best Super Bowl ads featuring animals to share with our readers! This list is completely subjective, and filled with video of the commercials, so be sure to check it out! Special Relationship between Sick Boy and Service Dog: Vet Street
Over on Vet Street, they have shared a touching story about the special relationship between a service dog, Juno, and a sick 4-year-old boy named Lucas. Truly, it is worth a read; both the boy in his courage in fighting Sanfilippo syndrome and the service dog who is helping him are truly remarkable.
Fukushima Animals Left to Die: Petside
Earlier in the week, sad news broke that the animals that were stranded in the evacuation zone by the Fukushima nuclear plant were left to die. The nuclear plant, which essentially suffered from a meltdown as a result of the devastating earthquake and ensuing tsunami that struck Japan last year, forced thousands of Japanese to evacuate their homes. Unfortunately, their animals were left behind, and animal activists in the country are calling it an outrage that the Japanese government didn’t organize any real rescue effort to try and help the animals.
