Recently, a 5-year-old ban on horse slaughter in the United States was lifted. While many people are blaming President Obama and claiming he is breaking 2008 campaign promises, he might not be entirely to blame. Apparently, the bill he signed, an appropriations bill that allocated funds to keep the government afloat, didn't even mention horse slaughter in it!

Dog, Rooster Save Family: Fox

The Fox affiliate in Tampa Bay is reporting that a dog and a rooster's combined efforts helped save a family from a fire. According to the report, both the dog and the rooster worked in tandem to wake the family, and alerted them of a fire breaking out in their home. That's what we call team work, and another piece of evidence that supports the existence of an animal "sixth sense!"
