Dog-Friendly Cafe Bans Pit Bulls: CBC News

According to a CBC news article, a new dog-friendly cafe that is opening at the end of October in Ottawa has banned pit bulls.

The report says that the shop's owner, Norma Dunn, would not have been able to lease the location she is if she had not put the ban on pit bulls.

Pit bull owners are obviously outraged, and are accusing Dunn of discrimination.

Is this yet another example of breed discrimination in action? Let us know in a comment!

Cat Saves Owner From Fire: IOL News

According to a report on IOL News, a cat saved an Austrian man from a fire in his home. The report says that the man's cats repeatedly walked on his face to wake him up to put out the blaze.

Their not-so-light-footed efforts paid off, and the man awoke to put the blaze out with a fire extinguisher before he called firefighters at about 3:30 am.

Any one else have a similar experience where animals have done something extraordinary like this?
