We'll start this week's edition of the Petside Digest with a feel good story for this fine Friday. Boots, a remarkable cat who luckily escaped a mandatory euthanasia order as a result of his owner's will, has finally found a home. Boot's trials and tribulations began after her owner, Georgia Dvorak, passed away. In her will, she had decreed that all of her living animals would be euthanized, presumably fearing they would be put into an abusive living situation. After a dramatic court case and being placed in a no-kill shelter for a bit, Boots has finally found a home. Read the full story here!

According to ABC News, a new study links a parasite potentially found in cat litter boxes to an increased suicide risk in women. The study isn't 100% conclusive, and admits that there is much to be learned and known about this parasite that lives within cats.
