Pets Taking their own Vacation?

Published July 31, 2008
Did you ever think that your pets might need a vacation? Or at least, want one? I never did, until I saw the unbridled joy that Magic brings when he visits his “mom’s family.” He stays there when my husband and I must be away. Magic on the day of his birth with mom Greta and his siblings And I truly believe he’d be perfectly happy to go on “vacation” quite regularly. This month, Magic celebrates his second birthday and he’s still very much a play-puppy despite weighing in at more than 90 pounds. So when he barrels out of the car, intent on meeting up with all his lady friends (including his mom, who keeps him in line!), he never looks back to say “so-long.” The only time he looks back is when I go to pick him up and bring him home. He’d really like me to bring the whole pack along with him. Seren, on the other paw, is strictly a homebody. Vacation to her is the d*g out of the house, and having all the premises to herself. If we ever did bring home the whole pack, the earth would move and the kitty’s scream of outrage would be heard around the world. If your pets could pick, what sort of vacation would they choose?
