Pets: A Yorkie named Gigdet, and a mixed-breed dog named Bear. Also plans to take in a rescue dog after the Olympics. Q: Do your dogs train with you? I do run with my dog Bear sometimes. Q: Do you travel with your dogs? I have traveled with her dog Gigdet (the Yorkie), but have not brought her to competitions. Q: Are you involved in any animal rights groups? I have become a spokesperson for the ASPCA located in New York City. I've gone to charity events, and also lent my name to fundraising efforts. I also try to get into NYC a couple times a year to see the cats and dogs there. I trademarked the term "Hats 4 Hounds" and I am in the process of knitting 101 Hats (for 101 Dalmatians). I will be selling them to friends, and on different websites where all of the proceeds will be given to the ASPCA. Check out other Olympians that love their pets:- Daron Rhalves - Freestyle Skiing
