A 22-year-old Chicago man and a 13-year-old boy stand accused of animal torture.

Late last week, a 22-year-old Chicago man and a 13-year-old boy were arrested on severe charges of animal cruelty and torture, according to a report put out by a Fox affiliate in Chicago.

The 22-year-old, Joshua Moore, and the 13-year-old juvenile were arrested when people alerted authorities after finding the disturbing videos on YouTube, which showed the pair abusing dogs.

The videos showed varying degrees of violence and psychological torture to the dogs and puppies. In one video, the man and boy can be seen tossing small puppies into the air and letting them drop. In another, they practice a cruel form of psychological torture, hiding a mother's puppies from her.

Police were able to track down the suspects as they allegedly identified themselves by name in the YouTube videos. Additionally, the 22-year-old bore distinctive tattoos that helped police match him to the disturbing YouTube posts. Upon their arrests, the dogs were brought into protective custody.

For their participation in the animal torture, Moore was charged with eight counts of animal cruelty and four counts of animal torture, while the juvenile was charged with six counts of animal cruelty and three counts of animal torture.

We're not really sure why anyone would commit these torturous acts, let alone make YouTube videos dedicated to it.

You are absolutely right. I wish we could legally put people like this on a remote island (with NO animals) and leave them there forever. They have no place in society.

i think these guys are very sick people and should never be allowed to even touch an animal, let alone own one. Maybe they should be tortured and put on you tube for all to see. Very disturbing @#$holes

make an example of these two by giving them both the max punishment permitted and put the kid in a mental hospital before he tortures other kids and animals. Honestly I would put them up against a wall and shoot them both.

These people deserve prison time. They will soon be moving on to people, although I don't really care about people as much as I do innocent animals, but our laws are still pretty much for people. ALL serial killers start with animal torture and mutilation, that is why the law finally started looking harder at animal abuse. If I had my real choice, I would shoot them myself and not blink.

People who resort to this type of cruelty need to be put down. I cannot image the pain and suffering of these animals. I pray the judge gives them the highest punishment allowed by law.
