Kitten Training Tips

Follow these kitten training tips to curb some bad habits before your cat gets older!

Kitten Training Tips: Why Are Kittens Easier To Train?

Kittens are easier to train because they haven't developed many of the bad habits of older cats, and they are quick and eager to learn.

Kitten Training Tips: When Should You Start Training Your Kitten?

When training your kitten, don't start too early. Very young kittens should stay with their mothers until they are at least 8 weeks old and they shouldn't begin training before they've left their mother.

Kitten Training Tips: When You Begin Training...

When you do begin training kittens, make sure you don't do too much when you begin your training regimen. Kittens learn quickly, but if you train them for too long at each session they may get tired quickly, or come to resent the training. If you're training a new behavior, such as running, jumping, or rolling for cat agility training, only train for a few minutes at a time or until your cat does the behavior correctly two or three times in a row.

Don't tire out your kitten, or become too repetitive in your training, but get them used to training so you can train for longer periods as they grow older.

I play with my kitten all the time and he still keeps scratching me. My arms are covered in scratches and i want to get him to stop scratching, is there any way to prevent scratching (and biting)? How do i teach him that this behavior is NOT ok?

I found a very small male kitten and it was near starvation.I have had him for 5 weeks now and he is happy and healthy. Loves to play and is very loving. I dont know how old he is but his testicles just dropped and I was wondering if this happens around a certain age or not? Any information would be helpful. Thank you

we have a pair of kittens, male and female. The female is litter trained but the male keeps urinating on my daughters bed and now around the house. We scoop the litter box 2 times a day,. Is he just naughty? how can we stop this bad behavior?
