The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a new addition to the family! The Royal newlyweds William and Kate are the proud new owners of a male black Cocker Spaniel pup similar to this one.
When Petside reported the story, rumors had been circling about the news media that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may have added a pooch to their family when photos were taken of the pair walking along Newborough Beach with a puppy while vacation in North Wales.
In a report by NBC News, a Palace Official confirmed that the newlyweds had become parents to a months-old black cocker spaniel puppy. William and Kate have reportedly had the puppy since late December.
The Palace has yet to release the name of the newest addition to the family, but it has been reported by The Telegraph that the male pup is the son of a dog belonging to the Duchess’ mother, Carole Middleton.
Paparazzi are sure to love the newest royal addition as the pair is certain to take many more outings with their new furry friend in the near future. For now, however, with William departing for a six-week tour of duty in the Falkland Islands as a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot, the new puppy is sure to provide entertainment for Kate while her husband is away.
The couple’s cocker spaniel puppy joins the ranks amongst other pups in the royal family. Prince Charles and his wife Camilla adopted a Jack Russell Terrier named Beth in August and Queen Elizabeth is long known for her love of Corgis.
