George the Great Dane is the world's tallest dog.
Now I really feel short. I'm only 1 foot 4 inches taller than--a dog.
Giant George the Great Dane, hailing from Tucson, AZ, was crowned World's Tallest Dog by The Guinness Book of World Records Monday. George the Great Dane measured in at 3 feet 7 inches paw to shoulder, 7 feet 3 inches nose to tail, and weighs a whopping 245 pounds.
Giant George is also the tallest dog in history, taking the gargantuan achievement from the long-standing Tallest Dog, Titan, a White Great Dane in San Diego.
Of course a dog with such stature must live like a king, right? Well, he does. Giant George lounges on his own queen-size bed, rides shotgun in golf carts, and eats $300 worth of dog food each month, according to Oprah.com.
He also hangs with royalty, like the Queen of Daytime TV, Oprah. George the Great Dane and his owner, David Nasser, met Oprah on Monday.
And George was much better behaved than some of Oprah's other guests on the show (ahem, Tom Cruise). The giant was sitting politely on the couch during the interview, rather than jumping all over it. And that's no tall tale.

i have a blu great dane and he is about 6'4 and 200 lbs and hes a little over 1 yrs old.i love him ,hes kind ,gentel, protective, and loyal,i love him.
I have had 3 Great Danes, 2 males and a female and NONE of them would eat over 5 cups of dry food a day.
Their food costs are not the issue but their healthcare cost sure can be.
I would consider a high end medical pet insurance policy a must.
As they say, NOTHING beats a Dane.
Tom Cruise is a nut job
That's three times the size of my dog...wow.
Wow ... $300 a month? I don't even eat that much food a month!
