A GPS cat collar is a useful tool if your kitty is an escape artist.
I noticed an ad for a GPS cat collar from Pawtrack while on the Facebook page of Hush Puppy and Hubble, my Oriental Shorthair cats.
Cat GPS Collar
This light-weight GPS cat collar is a great idea for both outdoor cats and indoor cats who tend to be escape artists.
The GPS collar weighs fifty grams, (1.76 ounces) and is a highly sensitive, multi-directional aerial. It checks the position of the cat every ten minutes or on request so the kitty’s location is always available.
How Does the Cat GPS Collar Work?
These locations are stored in the collar and transmitted back to the Pawtrack’s server.
The cat owner can then access information concerning not only their kitty’s location, but also where he/she has been hanging out for the past 30 days.
Additionally, the collar permits owners to set boundary alerts, and will notify the owner by email if the boundary has been breached. To prevent loss of power, the collar provides information about its battery level.
Other options include the Snooper SPT 220 Pet Tracker, a similar GPS device, and the Loc8tor cat tracker, a radio frequency device.

This is a great product but our cat is not large enough to wear a collar of this size. Maybe the technology will catch up in the next few years to allow a smaller collar design that will work with average size cats. Keep up the good work. We are hopeful.

OK, now I feel bad that I've flagged both the spam comments. Seriously, I'm looking for a cat-tracker and this sounds awesome. Wish there was a nice comparison of all the GPS pet-tracking collars somewhere.
(Ignore my foul language. I deal with spammers pretty bluntly.)
