Former President George Bush has taken up a new hobby that might interest pet owners.
It's Debate Night in America, and many Americans will tune in to a most critical round two when Mitt Romney and Barack Obama square off in a town hall style argument tonight. While both candidates argue their case for why they should be President of the United States, you'll be sure to hear the buzz word George Bush and the legacy (for better or worse) he left as America's Commander in Chief. Leading America, though, is long in Bush's past (even though it's only been four years). And you as a pet owner might be surprised to know (part) of what he's been up to.
According to a story put out by the Atlantic Wire, the former President spends part of his time painting. Among the subjects Bush has chosen to paint include none other than our canine friends. That's right: George Bush paints dogs. Ever think you'd hear that?
While the Atlantic Wire article isn't just about Bush painting dogs (it's about more serious issues including the contemplation of his legacy and the effect it will have on his brother's potential presidential bid), it is interesting to think about Bush's dog portraits. Without doing completely thorough research, we're wondering off of the top of our heads if any other president has taken up the canine painting hobby. Is Barack next to follow suit with adorable oil on canvas paintings of the irresistible Bo? Only time will tell.
What do you think about Bush's hobby? Are you interested (like we are) to see some of these paintings? Do you yourself paint portraits of your own dogs? Share your thoughts in a comment!
