Dog Agility VS Equestrian Jumping

How does the popular sport of dog agility compare to the Olympic sport of equestrian jumping?There are a lot of similarities between Olympic sports and the popular sports in the canine world. See how your favorite sports like flyball, agility, dock diving, disc dog and freestyle compare to their Olympic sport counterparts.

Handler and pet must complete an obstacle course in the shortest amount of time. Pets jump over hurdles, weave through poles and balance on beams. Pets are judged on accuracy and timing. There are agility competitions for both dogs and cats.

Equestrian - Jumping

Rider and horse must complete an obstacle course in the shortest amount of time. Horses must clear the jumps and are scored on accuracy. Equestrian sports have been in the Olympic sport since 1900.
