How does the canine sport of Dock Diving compare to the Olympic Long Jump?There are a lot of similarities between Olympic sports and the popular sports in the canine world. Dogs jump from a take-off point into water. Jumps are measured by where the base of the tail lands. The dog to jump the furthest wins. Dock Diving was started in 2000.

Olympic Sport

 

Athletics - Long Jump

Athletes sprint down a single track to a take-off point and jump as far as they can into a pit of sand. The athlete to jump the furthest wins. Track and Field has been an Olympic sport since 1896.
