This captivating little piece of movie making features the cutest kitten ever. It lasts only about 17 seconds and it was made by Rosa, a 15-year-old aspiring filmmaker.
I think that those of us who are ardent cat lovers will agree, when it comes to kitten-themed YouTube videos, it’s nearly impossible to get tired of them.
I say this because the other day, while I was clearing out my email box, I ran across a video that had been released about 18 months ago. Since it happens to be one of my all-time favorites, I had to drop everything and watch it. I was just as amused and delighted as I was the first time and I found myself falling in love all over again.
This captivating little piece of movie making lasts only about 17 seconds and it was made by Rosa, a 15-year-old aspiring film maker. This video captured the heart of cat lovers to such an extent that it had already received over 10 million hits just a short time after being released. Today’s hit count has reached over 45,336,089.
And while it is easy to get carried away while enjoying the antics of this infantile feline playing with the hand of a person who remains anonymous, I must take this opportunity to extend a gentle reminder that it is never a good idea for folks to play with kittens or cats using hands or fingers. Since feline predatory behavior is instinctual, to do so only gives them permission to “attack,” which may lead to some painful nips or scratches. Instead, for some really fun and appropriate interactive play, a feather flyer or laser toy goes a long way in providing entertaining exercise for both the kitty and his or her human companion.
Purrhaps Rosa’s little filmlette of the cutest kitten ever will be the inspiration for some folks to visit their neighborhood shelter and adopt a kitty or two so that they too will have the opportunity to experience of the greatest joys; being devotedly owned by a feline.
Even though you may have watched this video uploaded to YouTube by rozzzafly more than once, do take a few seconds to re-experience it.

Unrealistic, even silly. Kitten play is not predatory behavior and rarely results in scratching or biting that breaks the skin unless they are roughly handled. Children who are taught to be gentle (they must be old enough to remember) do just fine. The intensity of kitten play is usually proportional to what they experience from us. If we are gentle they will ber gentle as well. As some kittens get a bit older they may give play / love nips that may startle children but are quite unlikely to break the skin. If this behavior becomes a problem administer a finger snap to the top of the kitten's head that's enough to get their attention but not enough to make them run. The nipping is likely to stop after half a dozen snaps. The snap must be almost instantaneous afte the nip - wait 3 second and they won't get the message. (You may have noticed that even when kittens play fight one another with intensity it is very rare to see blood. They limit themselves very well. I've watched many hours of kitten fighting play and don't recall an injury.)
Whenever I'm sad, depressed or otherwise not feeling well I watch this video and it instantly brings a smile to my face. I wonder if this kitten knows how many lives he/she has brightened and brought joy to.
I absolutely LOVE this video. I look it up on You Tube every couple of months just because of its cuteness factor. Thanks for posting it so I could watch it again. :)
