Harbor, a coonhound hailing from Colorado, has earned the Guinness World Record for being the dog with the biggest ears.
This week, NBC's Animal Tracks reported that Harbor, a coonhound hailing from Colorado, was crowned a Guinness World Record holder for being the dog with the biggest ears.
Meet Harbor: The Dog with the Biggest Ears
Harbor, the eight-year-old black and tan coonhound, measured in having a massive earspan; his right ear measured 13.5 inches, and his left ear measured 12.25 inches. The length from ear-end to ear-end was 25.75 inches!
That's over two feet!
We here at Petside are wondering if he's even able to smile from ear-to-ear!
The Dog with the Biggest Ears Doesn't Have the Biggest Ears of All-Time
While Harbor has the biggest ears for any living dog, he does not, unbelievably, have the longest measured earspan on a dog ever. That record belongs to a bloodhound named Tigger, whose earspan measured 27 inches!

awwwww, what a cutie :)
That picture is AWESOME!
Having lived with raccoons in the forest, it breaks my heart that these beautiful and highly intelligent animals are still hunted for sport and treated with such inhumanity.
Harbor is adorable...Just sad that he was bred to assist in harming another innocent species.
When are humans going to evolve enough to respect other life & realize it isn't the raccoons who are destroying the planet...???
I hope his human(s) monitor his ear health regularly. Dogs with floppy ears tend to have ear problems stemming from lack of air circulation to the ear chamber.
And they said coonhounds can't fly.
