A:strong> I do not recommend using aspirin to treat arthritis pain in pets. There are many very safe and more effective drugs on the market which are made specifically for pets. Your veterinarian can discuss the options with you and prescribe something that is safe for your pet.

It is also a great idea to have your lab on a glucosamine/chondroitin supplement daily to protect the joints. There are many veterinary formulations of this which are readily available.

Bufferin, or buffered aspirin. Like half a tab 1x per day. It depends how old your dog is. But that works on my lab. -GAR Labs
