Can dogs get STDs?
Q: Can dogs get STDs? I want to breed my Yorkie and the vet said I need to make sure the other dog doesn't have any STDs.
A: Worried about your dog and STDs when breeding? Before breeding your pet, both dogs should be tested for Brucella. This is a bacteria that can cause dogs to abort. Brucella is also transmissible to humans so there is a public health concern.
