Build Your Own Cat Condo

Published March 3, 2009

If you've shopped for cat condos, you know they can be quite expensive, especially the larger ones that really give your cat exercise and a tip-top perch. Cats love to be high up in a safe spot to watch the world, and a tall cat condo is definitely a spot they'll enjoy.

Save yourself some money and build a cat condo yourself. Design plans for several different sized cat condos are available online.

Once you choose the size you'd like, you'll need wood, carpet, staples or nails, screws to hold the frame together, a hammer or staple gun, an electric drill, and some imagination. You'll also need a big enough space to spread out the pieces of the condo before you put them together.

Follow the directions detailed in the cat condo plan specifics, and for a few hours of effort, you'll have a custom cat condo your cats will love.

Build your own cat condo to save money and customize your cat's condo to fit your home, décor, and budget.
