Along those lines, here are our 10 favorite phone apps for pet-lovers. So whether you own an android or are holding out for the new iPhone 5, you’re one click away on your smartphone from becoming an even more awesome pet-owner—if that’s possible.

PetVet & Pet First Aid

As any pet owner will know, it can be scary when our pets get injured and we aren’t sure how to fix it. That’s where Pet First Aid comes in. This reference provides information about treating cuts and bruises, as well as if your pet should choke or need CPR. The videos and step-by-step illustrations make the directions really easy to follow. Petside's own PetVet app also helps you diagnose animals under the weather right at home.

This organizing app helps you keeps tabs on everything related to your pet’s health. Use Pet Master to track Fido’s personal information, like his birthday, registration, microchip info, weight and breed. You’ll also find it easy to store your pet’s vet information, medications and allergy information in the app, along with records of any of his upcoming vet appointments so you never miss one.

iKibble

Let’s be honest—it’s extremely tough to avoid giving our furry friends some table scraps from time-to-time. Luckily, with the iKibble app, you’ll never have to worry again which foods are good or bad for your dog to eat. The app stores information on hundreds of different foods, and allows you to browse by category or search for a specific item.

iFindToto

There’s almost nothing scarier than the moment you realize your pet is missing (except, maybe, the moment you find out your pet is injured, but we got you covered on that one with our first app above). Download iFindToto to your phone, and you can upload photos of your missing BFF, as well as scan photos of found pets to see if yours is in there.

iLocate Pet Grooming

Either way, this app brings the old-school dog whistle into the technological age, allowing you to select from multiple patterns, or even creating your own.
