Animal Planet Appearance!

Recently I was invited to be an expert guest on a new Animal Planet show called “Dogs 101” scheduled to air October 11. The shows feature several breeds during each episode--including a number of cats! Sammy, one of our dog models The folks at Powderhouse Productions (out of Boston) brought me to New York, where they interviewed me about a dozen d*g breeds (German Shepherd, Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Golden retriever, Boxer, Dachshund, Vizsla, Doberman, West Highland White Terrier, Beagle, Newfoundland, Bichon and Basset). Later shows will feature cats--they asked me about the Egyptian Mau, Selkirk Rex, Himalayan, American shorthair, Scottish Fold, Manx and Oriental. Of course, several other experts also will be interviewed about these plus many other breeds. All will later be edited and put together with entertaining and educational video of the various breeds doing what they do best--especially loving their special people. I thought y’all might be interested to see what the stage actually looked like…both reality and the close-up stuff that will air. Fantastic makeup artist Randy Tang makes me look terrific! We were also joined on-set by two lovely d*g models--Jill Pall brought her rescue MinPin “Lucky” and Pat Dirico provided her obedience-trained therapy d*g “Sammy,” the Westie. Watch for all of us next October!
