Animal Cruelty: Man Throws Dog Against Wall

In an unthinkable act of animal cruelty, a Florida man was arrested for allegedly throwing his niece's dog at a wall. Note: This is not the dog involved in this incident. Photos of the dog were not available.

A recent NBC Miami report details yet another incident of outrageous animal cruelty; apparently, a Florida man decided it'd be a great idea to throw his niece's dog against a wall.

According to the report, the dog's owner, Veronica Jimenez, was staying with her uncle, Alejandro Merlo, when she arrived home on the evening of October 25 to yelling and general commotion. The arrest report says that she entered her bedroom to witness her uncle holding her dog, and then watched on in horror as Merlo proceeded to swing the dog against the wall.

Police were called to the scene, where Merlo was promptly arrested.

In the attack, the dog suffered a broken right leg. For his unthinkable actions, Merlo is being charged with animal cruelty and is being held at the Broward County Jail with a set bond of $2,500.

give him a 10 yr sentence and a really good beating before and after he serves his time

Somebody should take him and swing him up against the wall and have him suffer the same fate on the same date for the rest of his life.

I agree, the punishent should fit the crime ... lets throw his happy butt up against a wall with the same force the dog hit the wall ...

Slng his a-- against the jail wall's, then turn him over to the other prisoner's.

$2500.00 bond should be $125,000.00 bond; if he'd do this to the little dog he'd do the same this to a child too. How about for his punishment phase he is lifted by a crane by a leg and slammed into a wall 10-12 times, sounds like ample punichment to me.
