Angels Program for Veterinarians
Published August 18, 2008
Does your local shelter have a veterinary “angel” helping out? Countless professionals across the nation donate their time and service to help animal shelters, simply because it’s the right thing to do.
Zootoo.com (a pet community website) developed the Zootoo Angels program to recognize the generous commitment pet professionals give to shelters. Shelter Managers have the ability to grant Zootoo.com Angel status to veterinarians that provide free services to their shelter.
“The goal of Zootoo.com Angels has been to generate national awareness of the philanthropic efforts of veterinarians and other pet professionals,” said Resident Vet of Zootoo.com, Dr. Jill Richardson. “We started the program to give shelter managers a platform to recognize the generosity of pet professionals. Because of their help, shelters can help reduce the pet overpopulation and adopt more animals.”
