Pet 'Net 2012: North Carolina Shelter Receives $5,000

Your Votes Helped Carteret County Humane Society Help Animals

Thanks to your votes, Petside will be awarding $5,000 to the Carteret County Humane Society Animal Shelter located in Newport, North Carolina. The shelter is a not-for-profit facility that takes in stray or lost pets and takes animals relinquished by owners in the county the shelter resides in.

Like many shelters, Carteret County Humane’s mission is to help as many animals as they can, and they work tirelessly to help adopt out the pets that they come across, partnering with local and out of state rescue groups alike to find forever-loving homes for animals in need. They are helping change the world, one animal life at a time.

Nevada spca (nvspca.org) They do amazing things with their animals: they groom them, save them from KILL SHELTERS,post inform!ation about the animals in their care, have adoption counsellors etc etc The animals may be lonely and sad sometimes but at least they are alive and deserve good food

I nominate Any Rat Rescue in Scottsdale, AZ. It may seem strange to some that I'm pushing for a rat rescue but rats are amazing creatures and many of them are dumped, neglected or abused. ARR works very hard to make sure that a very misunderstood pet is shown the love they deserve.
